Finish of racing at Isle of Man

The last day at the IoM was kippers again, followed by a ride to Sulby Bridge to watch the final race, The Senior TT, found a great viewing spot and settled in. John McGinnis won his 4th in a row. Cam Donald came in 2nd, but with his 2 victories, Cam came back to Oz with the Joey Dunlop Trophy. Result!!
Back to the lighthouse to pack and try and catch a nap. Failed with the nap and at midnight, headed down to Douglas to catch the 3:00am ferry to Liverpool. Managed about an hours sleep on the ferry and then rode down towards dover to catch the 4:00pm ferry to Dunkerque. Grabbed some lunch in dover and the 3 of us collected 50 quid parking tickets that probably won´t be paid......

Pictured is Newbold waiting to go onto Dover-Dunkerque ferry and 3 guys making a very nice ferry look very untidy.

Grabbed about another hour's kip on the ferry and started our ride into France looking for a place to spend the night. Rode into Cambrai and found a nice clean room in the hotel above the Tabac. Good nights sleep, as I'd only had about 2 hours sleep in 38 hours!

Sunday we were up early and heading for Munich. The day started well and we kept to B roads wich took us through many fantastic villages. Montmedy was our coffee break. We crossed into Germany around 4:00pm at Karlsruhe where we picked up the autobahn and started the 277km blast to Munich. The rain started the moment we hit the autobahn. Travelling at up to 160kph with spray so bad that you could barely see the car in front was very daunting and kept the nerves on end. Luckily it only rained for the first hour or so, but by then we were thoroughly drenched. We finally hit Munich around 8:30pm after covering about 1ooo kilometres in the day. We all fell off the bikes. Coroline and Tobi ( friends of Andrea) kindly put us up for the night ( which became 2)
Monday was a 'parts' day with us getting new tyres, and other assorted parts......... Managed to get a replacement mirror, and spare cables for Morley.
tomorrow...... the Alps and on to Croatia.
